The Last Remix This! @ Andy Poolhall
Ladies and gentlemen, it is over. Remix This! Wednesdays launched October 3rd, 2007 and will come to an end this Wednesday. Actually, it started even before that as a monthly at a small bar on Queen St. but it really took shape at Andy Poolhall October 3rd.
Created and run by Dj Medley (http://www.djmedley.com), Remix This has featured the who’s who of Toronto deejays, a lot of hard work has been poured into it. It wasn’t just a clubnight, but also an online blog. The http://www.remixthis.ca site now breaks over 10,000 hits per month, sharing live sets and ReMc’s with the world. And it’s all coming to an end. Wednesdays are a tough night of the week to pull off, the time and effort are just too much to keep up with. So it’s time to move on. Nonetheless, Medley’s making moves as always, with more club nights launching this year, lots of banging remixes and tons of art. Andy Poolhall will be bringing in some fresh cats to take the night over and I’m sure it’ll be just as dope.
